This week, our sales team spent a day at Quooker UK's impressive Manchester offices, gaining first-hand experience of its market-leading range of boiling-water taps and a deeper understanding of the innovation behind the brand.

Quooker invented the world’s first 100°C boiling-water tap and continues to lead the category with energy-efficient, safe, space-saving and versatile systems delivering instant boiling, filtered, chilled and sparkling water from a single tap.

The session gave our team valuable insight into the products, technology and benefits that set Quooker apart, ensuring we are fully equipped to support our merchant customers across the UK.

It was a great opportunity to meet the wider Quooker team, strengthen the relationships behind the partnership and align on the opportunities ahead within the merchant channel.

Get a clean, professional silicone finish every time with the Silicone Block Pro from Metex Ltd

✔️ Fits tight spaces – At just 25mm wide, it's ideal for joints 25mm (1") or wider.
✔️ Perfect 3-way corners – The integrated triangular profile makes finishing internal corners quick, clean and consistent.

Top tips for the best results:
💧 Spray the block with soapy water before you start and regularly while tooling to prevent silicone sticking.
🧼 Clean the block immediately after use before the sealant cures.
🔧 If sealant has cured, most standard silicones will peel away easily. Hybrid sealants may need gentle scraping, but any small residue won't affect performance provided the working edges remain clean.
⚠️ Avoid solvents such as Multisolve, as they can damage the block. If you've used a solvent to remove old sealant, ensure it has fully evaporated and the surface is clean before applying fresh silicone.

Small techniques make a big difference to the finished result.
