When was the last time you really reviewed your tankered waste provider?

As we head into the final quarter of the year, now is the perfect time to ask yourself a simple question:

Are you getting the service you should expect?

At NDS, we believe tankering should be about more than simply turning up and collecting waste. You need a partner who is reliable, compliant, knowledgeable and professional — every single time.

That’s exactly what we strive to deliver.

And don’t just take our word for it — our 5-star customer reviews say it all. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

If you’re not completely satisfied with your current tankering provider, perhaps it’s time for a conversation.

August is a funny old month for us. With most of our team having school-aged children, we stagger holidays and build in handover days to make sure everything is covered. The downside is that getting everyone together for strategy sessions and catch-ups over the six-week period can be a real challenge!

But the wheels still need to keep turning.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how multi-skilled our team is. Everyone can jump in and support one another, ensuring our customers still get their collections on time, new enquiries are dealt with, and the business continues to run smoothly.

As a small business owner, there’s nothing better than knowing everything is in safe hands while I take a little time to recharge on the beach.

And even better? Getting photos through from our driver operators, proud of a job well done. That pride, teamwork and willingness to step in for each other is what keeps everything moving. 🙌

Today we celebrate a milestone birthday for the big boss — Geoff turns 80! 🎂🍾

Back when I was still at primary school, Geoff decided to take the leap and work for himself. Two young kids and a huge mortgage weren’t enough to stop him chasing his dreams, and from that belief Mobile Collection Services was born, helping revolutionise skip collections across Manchester.

Fast forward to 1987 and NDS was founded. One truck and trailer, Angela running the office, mum doing the banking, dad doing pretty much everything else — growing the business organically with a simple philosophy: invest in the best equipment and the best people.

As a kid, I used to tell everyone my dad was a binman. Although seeing him walk around with his “mobile” phone — basically a car battery with a handset attached — he looked more Wall Street than waste management!

The business has always been his life, and something the whole family is incredibly proud of. His drive, standards and ambition helped build a company known for quality, reliability and service.

At 80, Geoff is still working and still leading from the front. There may be a few more holidays these days, but there’s not much sign of him slowing down yet.

Happy birthday Dad — and thank you for building a brilliant company that I’m proud to be part of ❤️

Over the past six months, we’ve unfortunately seen three long-standing customers forced to move their operations overseas due to ongoing challenges in UK manufacturing. It’s a tough reality for the industry, and not something any of us want to see.

As a result, we now have some rare availability across our fleet of vacuum tankers, both ADR and non-hazardous bulk artics.

If your current waste management provider isn’t delivering the reliability or service you need, now could be a good time to explore an alternative. We’re here to help — whether that’s reviewing your waste streams, identifying more cost-effective solutions, or ensuring full compliance with current regulations.

What you can expect from us:
✔ Reliable service you can count on
✔ Practical, compliant waste solutions
✔ A team that does what it says it will

And yes — we like to think we’re a friendly bunch too 😄

If you’d like a no-obligation conversation, feel free to get in touch.
