Calling all Auction Customers - our next in - person toyfair event is at Ashington West Sussex UK this Sunday! Details in the post below!

All the fun of the toy fair!!

Did you know that the Ashington Toyfair is in a famous location?

When we decided upon Ashington in West Sussex 13 years ago as a key toy fair location for the southeast - we unwittingly selected a village famous for it’s fairground and steam vehicles owned by F Harris and Sons Amusements!

The fair was started in around 1860 and has very much become part of the life of Sussex residents. To celebrate their contribution to local jobs, social history and the economy you can see a display of models of many of these vehicles on permanent show at the Ashington Community Centre where we hold our monthly toyfair.

If you are lucky enough you may even find some for sale like this wonderful Garrett 4CD Showman's Engine.

We had a fantastic auction on Wednesday this week, but for me the big surprise was this lot of models of yesteryear which sold for an amazing £220. The key here was that they were all in "Great Dorset Steam Fair" liveries, so they are certainly worth looking out for!

Our monthly vintage toy and model sales feature some amazing collections. The sale of April 2022 featured some outstanding items from a single owner childhood toy collection including this superb Corgi Toys car transporter gift set which sold for an incredible £620!
