The boys had a visitor yesterday, a beautiful big white horse called Darcy stopped by to say hello. Fabulous Freddie did go over and give him a good sniff round his nose, very brave and rocky of him 🤣

Huge thanks to my volunteers yesterday, Michelle and Fiona, they did a Stirling job holding onto some wriggly baby alpacas alpacas. Namely Gorgeous Gordon who needed a hernia belt adjustment and Fidget Fart Face who had to have cream on his ears and eyelids. Brandy Spitty McSpitface as usual air spat at everyone 🤣

Today Casanova took up the typical alpaca 'need to cool down my belly pose'. Alpacas lose heat via their belly and feet hence those are the areas we cool down when we hose them. Never wet their backs as that acts like a wetsuit and they suffer from internal heat + external heat, not good.

Gorgeous Gordon is dressed for the heat today with his new lightweight hernia belt, made with a cotton lining instead of the usual sheepskin it will be a lot cooler for him. This is important as alpacas cool down and lose heat through their bellies. Thank you Shelley for making it so quickly 😍
