Hare Moon Stained Glass

Hare Moon Stained Glass Hare Moon Stained Glass is the business name of Stained Glass Artistic Creator Angie Dibble Angie undertakes commissions for private and commercial clients.

After graduating and working in Art and Design, Angie has now specialised in stained glass work for 15 years and has taught the subject regularly to adult classes in Somerset. Commissioning a stained glass panel allows you to have a unique piece of art created for you which is an expression of your ideas, and will be designed to suit the location you choose. I like to work closely with my clients,

keeping them informed of their commissions progress via regular emails and photo updates, so distance is not a problem. I am motivated mainly by visual inspiration found in nature; the symbolic, spiritual and romantic. I am also inspired by a sense of the exotic, mythic and other-worldly in literature, having a strong desire to explore themes of interest and to create images that I see in my minds eye. Stained glass is very captivating and seductive because of its jewel like qualities. Its therapeutic quality is enhanced by the light that passes through its vibrant colours. It is very exciting to work with these sheets of magical translucent colour that can be manipulated into decorative sections that connect together to portray an image and captivate the eye of the beholder. To achieve the results I desire; I often spend many hours on the creation of each integral section; slowly building up the subtle qualities of chiaroscuro to achieve an affect. This particular process often requires many firings in the kiln. The cost of a panel is calculated on the basis of its size, the complexity of the design, the quality of glass used and the amount of painted and fired detail. It is difficult to give general estimates because each commission is unique. After discussing a customers requirements, an estimated fee is given and an estimated time span for the entire artwork to be created. After drafting a design for the panel I am able to give an exact quote for the work, which will be as near to my estimated quote as possible. Commissions require a 50% payment in advance for materials. Installation is by the clients own arrangement. It is possible to encase a stained glass panel within a double glazed unit for safety and security, or to have it secured on the inside of a double glazed unit; so that the full quality of the work can be appreciated from within the room.

In fields where hares frolic and play,
Under the moon's enchanting sway,
Stained glass hues gleam in the light,
Crafted by hands, an artistic sight.

Each shard reflects the lunar gleam,
A celestial dance in the stained glass scheme,
Hares prance around, their spirits free,
Amidst the colors, a jubilant spree.

The moon, a guardian in the sky,
Watches over with a twinkling eye,
As artisans weave tales untold,
In glass creations, a treasure to behold.

Hare Moon Stained Glass, a place so fine,
Where craftsmanship and art align,
Amidst the moonbeams and hare's dance,
Beauty in glass, a magical trance.

In this festive season, with joy abound,
May hares and moonlight your hearts surround,
And in stained glass, may stories be spun,
A Merry Christmas, under the moon and sun.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a luminous New Year filled with the magic of hares, moonbeams, and exquisite stained glass art from Hare Moon Stained Glass! πŸŒ•πŸ‡βœ¨ Merry Christmas Everyone, Love Angie x

Ginger Biscuit, a very hansom cat! Now ready to be posted. This piece was crested for a special birthday gift. Luckily I was given lots of good photos of Ginger so that I could get a near likeness of him. He looks so lovely I really wanted to do a good job.

Swift over Tor. This special piece has now been collected, so I can post it without spoiling any surprises. I've loved learning more about these tenacious little birds that spend pretty much all of their lives in flight, even eating and mating in the air. I'm working on a design to celibate spring and summer and will have some more images to post soon.

This is a wild vixen, in our woodland. Not something I'd ever post normally, but this was taken years ago, so is long gone now. I'd see her most days and in the end she'd wait on the edge of our woodland and I'd feed her. I'm posting this because yet again, the ignorant among us have taken exception with the fox. This time a podcast where Chris Packham is a guest talking about foxes. They took exception because Chris called them out, saying if a fox has taken your chickens, it's your fault and if you understand the fox, they are easy to work around, even if you keep chickens. Knowing when they are active and where, even a bit of diversionary feeding helps, especially when they are feeding cubs. To find out this information, all it takes is a few inexpensive trail cams. Surely it's better to work with nature than against it. If you kill a fox, it will be replaced by another in a matter of weeks. Surely working around a settled fox is easier than one that has just arrived in the territory and is still finding its way. To prove a point. The fox in this image is about 20m from our old chicken run and during the day, bird flu regulations permitting, our rescue chickens free range. The only place our chickens don't go, is where slow-worms and grass-snakes bask, because just like pheasants, chickens will eat our reptiles. In over 10 years of keeping a few rescue chickens like this, hand on heart we have lost one chicken to a fox. We're also lucky enough to have Polecats on the property, in fact Winterwatch filmed them here several years ago, they're not a problem either. The only reason to kill a fox, is because you enjoy it let's be honest about it. Do the maths, the cost of say a lost lamb at most in a season, against the cost of keeping a pack of hounds, terriers, horses etc. It just doesn't add up, does it. Check out the podcast I refer to here if you like.
