I’ll always recommend Laura. We’ve worked together for years with her Morgan Horses but also now with my clients horses. Working as a team helps us both achieve the very best for the horse and owner xx

With lots of new followers recently, I thought I’d properly introduce myself and share a little bit about the person behind LHB Veterinary Physiotherapy!

I’m Laura - a Veterinary Physiotherapist working with both horses and dogs, and I genuinely feel so lucky to do a job I love every single day ❤️

One of my favourite parts of the job is helping animals feel happier, more comfortable, and able to move at their very best - whether that’s supporting performance horses, helping rehabilitation cases, or improving comfort and mobility for family pets.

I love building relationships with both owners and their animals, and no two days are ever the same (which definitely keeps life interesting 😂)

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my own animals and enjoying the outdoors

Thank you so much for all the support this page has had recently - every follow, share, recommendation, and message means so much to my small business 🤍

I’m excited to continue sharing more educational content, treatment insights, rehabilitation journeys, and behind-the-scenes moments with you all!

If you’re new here, thank you for being here !

What a nasty evil thing to do. That horse could have turned and bolted straight into traffic, with horrific consequences all because to idiots get some weird kick out of spooking them 🤬. SHARE AWAY PEOPLE XX

It’s been a busy week, with most of it spent in Tockholes.

Laura’s holiday cover ended on Monday.

I’ve brought in and fed Bev and Ellie’s five horses on Thursday and Friday mornings.

Bev (another one) and Harry had a lesson out hacking. I usually accompany her on foot, but Maxine kindly lent me her horse, Sammy, and I have to say I felt like a bit of a fraud, because I’ve never seen Bev so relaxed and happy.

She told me the reason she was confident was because I was there on a quiet horse that wouldn’t wind Harry up, which is SO important when you’re a nervous rider. She really enjoyed her riding that day 🥰

I then accompanied Dawn and Milo, who won’t mind me saying, is also a nervous rider. Milo (pictured) is a lovely boy, but somewhat ‘switched off’ in the school, which presents as laziness and that makes it really hard for Dawn. So we made the decision a few weeks ago to school outside on the quiet lanes of the village.

He’s doing really well, he’s accepting that he needs to stay in a contact going into his trot transitions, as appose to hollowing and it’s giving Dawn confidence because he’s more focused on her, instead of what’s happening two fields away 😂😂.

Did a pole session with Helen and Morgan Horse, Finn, this morning. He was a strong boy today!! 🫣😂

Then popped across town to ride Zee for Louise. He’s had a slightly more graduated wedge in his shoes this week, to hopefully make him more comfortable.

The plan was to compare the last ride I had on him, to how he felt today, but unfortunately because of the heat and no rain, the arena surface was unstable and I put him away after 15 mins, as it’s not worth it. Louise has spent so much time and effort into getting him rideable again, so the last thing we need is a blown tendon, or worse 🤦‍♀️🥺. Hopefully it rains soon 🙏

Anyway, tomorrow I have Tommy and Archie to school and mobile livery for Wendy and Anna.

Then Sunday Funday with my best horse girl pals, Laura, Sarah and Tamsin, watching the showjumping at Northcote Stud. 😍😍. Can’t wait ###

Enjoy your horsey weekend everybody ###
