Asked Callan if he could sort a neighbour out. Needed bathroom tiled ready for 2 nd fixing and another room finished off. Turned out and results were fantastic. Big thank you to Callan Reddock.

I’ve never had an opinion on national installation companies. They mostly target the pay monthly band of customers and charge a higher price than the independent installers. Recently the BOXT Boiler advert has made me chuckle myself and many other small businesses will find our selves in the shown scenarios. My issue with this however is. If we can’t fix the customer is rarely charged.
We offer support most days and weekends even out of hours to either fix or determine if an appliance is end of life or repairable.
BOXT WONT DO THIS.
BOXT WILL SELL A NEW BOILER.
BOXT WONT CARE IF THE EXISTING BOILER NEEDS £200 SPENT ON IT TO GIVE ANOTHER 5 or 10 YEARS SERVICE.
BOXT BOILERS. ID RATHER NOT.

Called at a relatives today. Rehung this monster radiator. The original installer was very ambitious and hung it with 40 mm long screws. 🤣🤣 hence it fell off. My bigger concern however is that although these modern column radiators make the home owner stand out from the norm and do look pretty. They must add around 40 percent to their annual gas heating bill and be a major contribution to emissions. A standard radiator to heat that space would hold about 7 Ltrs. This thing I recon was at least 50 ltrs. Looks cool. Killing the planet. ☹️
