6:30am starts are definitely better when you’re surrounded by great people! 🤝✨

There’s something pretty special about getting together with a group of local business owners first thing in the morning, sharing ideas, supporting each other, making connections and, of course, drinking plenty of coffee! 😂☕️

A huge thank you to Jo from Bay Paws Dog Groomer Herne Bay for a fantastic talk today. 🐾

She gave us a brilliant insight into her business, her passion and what she does for our four-legged friends. 🐶❤️

We also had a few guests join us this morning, which was fabulous as I t’s always lovely to welcome new faces and introduce people to the group.

And this is exactly why I love local business networking.

It’s not just about handing out business cards or trying to sell something. It’s about building genuine relationships.

🚫 Back to school doesn’t have to mean back to chaos. 🤯

Getting your family back into a routine after the summer holidays doesn’t require a complete overhaul.

Start with the one thing that currently causes the most stress whether that is hectic mornings, school paperwork, misplaced uniforms or the endless search for PE kits.

Choose one simple system this week and give your family time to adjust.

Small, realistic routines are far more likely to stick and they can make a surprisingly big difference to how calm your days feel.

Remember that the aim is calmer, not perfect. Your routine only needs to work for your family in this season of life.

ADHD organising needs a different approach because traditional organising and decluttering methods don’t always work for clients with ADHD.

And that’s not because they’re lazy, messy or “just need to be more organised”.

It’s because their highly functioning brains may deal with clutter, routines, storage and decision-making very differently.

So instead of trying to force a client into a system that looks organised, we need to create a space that actually works for THEM.

That might mean …

✨ Less putting things away and more easy-access storage

✨ Open storage instead of hidden cupboards

✨ Systems based on habits rather than perfection

✨ Making frequently used items visible and accessible

✨ Creating “drop zones” for things that are always left in the same place

✨ Letting go of traditional organising rules and finding what feels natural

The goal isn’t a Pinterest-perfect home.

The goal is a functional, practical and manageable home that the client can actually maintain.

And as you can see from this before & after… it IS doable! 🙌

Sometimes the answer isn’t to make someone fit the system we need to make the system fit the person. ❤️

⏰ 6:30am networking is not for everyone because apparently it’s when normal people are still in bed! 😂

But I’m anything but normal and this girl is not settling for an average life so up before the sun, coffee in hand and off to business networking at 6:30am this morning.

While most people were still negotiating with their alarm clocks, I was talking business, making connections and trying to look like I was fully awake! 😂

Now I’m back home, coffee number four is happening and I’m ready to start the day! 💪✨

Running a business isn’t always glamorous and sometimes it’s early mornings, strong coffee and pretending you’re a morning person! ☕😂

You never know who needs to hear that help is available… ✨

Today I had the absolute pleasure of sharing my business, Debacle to Sparkle, with approximately 100 members of the Whitstable Active Retirement Association.

It was a wonderful opportunity to talk about how I help people in Whitstable and the surrounding area to declutter, organise and create homes that are safer, calmer and easier to manage. Whether it’s preparing to downsize, tackling years of accumulated belongings, or simply making everyday life a little easier, every home and every client has a unique story.

The best part of today was chatting with so many members afterwards, answering their questions and hearing about their own experiences. It was lovely to know that my talk resonated and that people felt comfortable asking for advice.

A huge thank you to everyone at the Whitstable Active Retirement Association for such a warm welcome. It was a real privilege to spend time with you all.

☀️ Blue skies outside but I’m spending my Monday morning in a stuffy storage unit.

Not quite the glamorous start to the week, but there’s an important lesson hidden in here.

Today I’m helping declutter a storage unit that’s been holding onto belongings for over two years.

💥 Two years of monthly storage fees.
