Sometimes a wardrobe detox is about far more than clothes. ❤️

I had the most amazing wardrobe detox with a lovely client this morning, and it turned into one of those sessions that reminds me why I absolutely love what I do.

As she tried on clothes she hadn’t worn in YEARS, we reminisced about the memories attached to them, where she’d worn them and all those little moments that clothes can hold.

And then we got talking about our loved ones who are no longer with us.

Her Dad. My Mum. ❤️❤️

We talked, we laughed, we remembered… and then suddenly… Two white feathers appeared. 🪶🪶

Now, whether you see that as coincidence, a little sign, or simply two feathers finding their way into our morning, it felt incredibly special. ✨

And that’s the thing about decluttering.

It’s not about ruthlessly getting rid of everything.

It’s about making space for the life you’re living now, while honouring the memories that still matter. ❤️

And yes there were clothes that went. Six bags full but there were also plenty that stayed because if in doubt, keep it!

That mysterious space under the bed that somehow becomes a black hole for stuff you can’t be bothered to deal with.

👠 Shoes you haven’t worn since 2017
🧳 A suitcase full of who knows what?
🎄 Christmas decorations
👖 Clothes for when you’re “that size again”
📦 Random boxes because “they might come in handy”

…and possibly the missing sock you’ve been looking for since 2021. 🧦😂

The problem with under-bed clutter?

Too often, people buy boxes, baskets, shelves and fancy organisers only to discover they don’t actually suit what they own, how they use the space, or what they need to store.

6:30am starts are definitely better when you’re surrounded by great people! 🤝✨

There’s something pretty special about getting together with a group of local business owners first thing in the morning, sharing ideas, supporting each other, making connections and, of course, drinking plenty of coffee! 😂☕️

A huge thank you to Jo from Bay Paws Dog Groomer Herne Bay for a fantastic talk today. 🐾

She gave us a brilliant insight into her business, her passion and what she does for our four-legged friends. 🐶❤️

We also had a few guests join us this morning, which was fabulous as I t’s always lovely to welcome new faces and introduce people to the group.

And this is exactly why I love local business networking.

It’s not just about handing out business cards or trying to sell something. It’s about building genuine relationships.

👉 Finding people you can collaborate with
👉 Supporting other local businesses
👉 Sharing knowledge and ideas

Getting your family back into a routine after the summer holidays doesn’t require a complete overhaul.

Start with the one thing that currently causes the most stress whether that is hectic mornings, school paperwork, misplaced uniforms or the endless search for PE kits.

Choose one simple system this week and give your family time to adjust.

Small, realistic routines are far more likely to stick and they can make a surprisingly big difference to how calm your days feel.

Remember that the aim is calmer, not perfect. Your routine only needs to work for your family in this season of life.
