3 Tips I Swear By As An Infant Sleep Consultant

1️⃣ Environment is key. Too warm, too bright, or too quiet and you’re already working against yourself. Aim for 16–20°C, blackout blinds, and white noise running consistently through the night.

2️⃣ Consistent bedtime routine. Same steps, same order, every single night. Bath, PJs, book, cuddle. Keep it to 20–40 minutes and bring the energy right down before you even go near the cot.

3️⃣ How they fall asleep matters as much as when. The bit that most people miss. If they’re being rocked or fed to sleep, they’ll need the same thing every time they surface between cycles. Putting them down awake, and gradually reducing those associations, is what builds the skill to resettle independently.

None of this is complicated. It just needs to be consistent.

Not just a baby who sleeps.

I want you to know, every single morning, when your break is coming. To be able to look at the clock at 11:50 and think “in ten minutes I am sitting down. I am eating something. I am doing one thing that is just for me” 🤍

That is what a predictable schedule actually gives you. Not just an evening. A moment in the middle of the hardest part of the day where your nervous system gets to exhale.

I want you to have structure in your day. To plan a rest and actually take it. To close the bedroom door at 7pm and feel your shoulders drop. Not wait on edge. Actually settle ✨

I want you to feel like yourself again. The capable version of you that still exists underneath all of this exhaustion.

I know she is still there. Because I found her again. And I want the same for you 🌙
