If you are pregnant, this is one of those boring but brilliant things to do before the day itself.

So much unnecessary stress comes from tiny logistics — not knowing exactly where to go, not knowing who is on call, and trying to manage family messages while you’re in labour.

I always say: make your partner the logistics person, not you. The more these little details are sorted in advance, the more space you have to focus on the actual birth.

People imagine it’s this cosy, emotional moment but in reality it can feel really intense you are shattered, still full of adrenaline and suddenly there is no boxer to press and no midwife walking past.
