Andy (my husband) and I have worked together in various jobs around the world together.

We’ve been chalet hosts in the French Alps, we had so much snow Andy built us a snow park in the garden, some days we didn’t need to make it up the mountain.

We worked at The Red Barn together here in Woolacombe, not our favourite job but enjoyed the sea views and still best friends with the crew we met from our time there 9 years ago!

We’ve worked on a campsite together here in Devon, it was a 18-30 type place where we had a lot of fun with the guests.
A highlight was probably pouring a Guiness into a stag’s shoe.

Andy trained me up when we worked together at Mount Surf Shop in NZ, I impressed him when I sold a Hayden Shapes surf board in my first week.

We’ve offered cacao sound journeys, where I’ve led movement and meditation to Andy’s music.
Something we’d talked of doing for so long felt so good to put into motion and have the space at capacity.

I’ve been Andy’s accountant and book keeper for his joinery business, it’s an excuse for a Christmas party together which you don’t have usually when you’re self employed.

Our most recent adventure is offering a duo of wedding celebrant and DJ package!
Probably the most rewarding work we’ve done together❤️
Here’s us celebrating the day with our bride and groom, Adam and Monique.
I think Adam was having the most fun😆

It can be hard to find the words for your vows but with my help you’ll feel confident and supported to write from your heart with unlimited support and ideas.

I always recommend making notes, words come at the most random times and it’s important to safe keep the gold that comes to you.

I also suggest carving out some quiet time to reflect on why you love your future husband/wife and what you’ll do to make them happy and your marriage thriving.

I’ll help you find that balance of a sense of humour but seriousness too, because let’s face it if you do always put the toilet seat down you will have a happier marriage.

Rory and Liana’s wedding was held in the garden of where they were staying.
It gave it such a homely feel with everything in one vicinity.

I love the anticipation at weddings as last minute bits are set up and we wait for the Bride to arrive.
and I are gifted with time to honour the Groom, a big hug to settle some nerves, some beautiful chords to take a moment and breathe to and some words of affirmation to bring presence and calm as we wait at the aisle, minutes before one of the biggest moments of their lives.

Family run business.

Here we are, my husband and I meeting Andrea and Rich in comfort of their own home to discuss all their hopes and dreams for their big day.

With myself being a celebrant, Andy my husband being a DJ, and our cousin being spider fingers on the guitar it means for 1 package with simplicity of hitting 3 birds with 1 stone 🕊🕊🕊

Tomorrow I’ll be revealing photos from their big day!

My first ever wedding ceremony January 2018.

I remember this way well, arriving on a quad bike in true Port Waikato style after swimming with dolphins that morning.

Definitely the most loving and positive office I've ever worked in❤️

We had had dogs running around at our feet during the ceremony which made it feel relaxed and homely and reflected them as a couple.

Throw back to Damo and Iona’s wedding on a beautiful piece of land with epic views..
Iona had a vision and brought it to life!
Think sunshine, Birkenstock’s, bell tents, food and coffee trucks, dogs, geometric dome tents with pink lighting, Mr Paul Barrington on the 1s and 2s, and the most amazing flower arrangements created by the bride herself.
My favourite thing about this ceremony was their son Arlo in Damon’s arms during the ceremony and Occy in Iona’s tummy.
(Let’s not forget the dog keeping it real and pooping mid vows🙊)
It’s even better when they’re your friends getting married and you’re also a guest at the wedding of the year!
There I am with my burger ready for a nosh in my tent at the end of an amazing day.
Thank you again for having me and !

I love seeing life’s adventures unfold for the couples I’ve been lucky enough to marry.
Monique and Adam have a beautiful little boy called Wes and now living in Canada.
They too are dreaming of the day their family in NZ can meet their baby and reconnect to those kiwi roots 🥝💚

A poem I wrote to Ruby..✍️

❤️

You sit on my lap, your body fitting into mine like a perfect missing piece and I take in your little chubby hands.

Gazing at the lines on your palms and smiling at how they are completely unique to you and only you.

Your hands that grow every day and never will be this small again, the same hands that I felt prod me ‘hello’ when I grew you in my tummy.

I think about the loved ones who have held your hands, the ones who sadly never will, and the day your family in NZ join their hands with yours.

I wonder what creations your hands will make, what your signature dishes will be and which recipes of mine will be handed down.

I notice how you’ve inherited Dad’s bent little finger, wondering if you’ll inherit mine and Nanny’s long nail beds or your Dad and Grandad Kiwi’s flat fingers.

Your hands that will eventually scratch and scar, each mark telling a story and holding a memory.

I look at your ring finger and hope that you meet someone to make you a wife and as happy as your Daddy makes me.

I hope your hands are lucky enough to hold your own children’s hands one day and you too can sit there pondering all these thoughts of the great unknown♥️

Hello friends 👋

With the pause on weddings we’ve had I’m grateful it’s given me space to be creative in other ways by writing poetry for my daughter.

Ruby is 6 months old already, the weeks fly by so I make space to sit, reflect and feel..
I write those thoughts and feelings into a story as I try to savour and hold onto these precious moments.

It puts me in to my happy place, helps my mind to become a bit more organised and gives me a creative form of expression.
