When your A-Frame gets the vibe!

Sometimes, when I’m asked to create signage for a brand new space, it’s hard to envisage how the finished piece will look once it’s in place. There’s always that little moment of doubt about whether it’s going to work with the vibe the customer is after.

But then when I get to see it in situ just like this one, it’s the best feeling. This A-Frame fits so seamlessly into the elegant surroundings of The Garden Room, complementing the existing signage and interiors perfectly. The gold detailing really brings it all together.

I think this is why I love seeing my work in its finished setting so much — when all those little details come together and the sign feels like it was always meant to be there.

From Wales to Portugal and Tenerife and our all sorts totes have travelled further than me this summer.

So is there some kind of unspoken teacher tax that means parents must dispose of all their recycling?

I mean, I do admire the creativity of my six year old and his ability to turn someone else’s rubbish into a “masterpiece”… but give me a sweet little nursery masterpiece any day.

Who else is basically running a recycling centre out of their house now the schools are back? And, more importantly… how long do you actually keep the creations out before you sneak them into the bin?

If Little Wootton was a shop…

I think it would look a little something like this.

Owning a physical shop is, obviously, something that lives in my wildest dreams. But thanks to AI, I can at least visualise what it might look like.

Somewhere I could paint, potter and create all day long, without having to pack everything away at the end of the day to make room for family life.

So, if I did have a shop… who would come pay me a visit?

When beautiful spaces and handmade signage collide.

I’ve had the pleasure of creating signage for several wellness studios lately, and this brand-new space in Wiltshire is a real gem.

This swing sign was hand-painted for Studio Nalu | Wellness On The Farm — a beautiful new space for workout and recovery. The earthy tones and natural feel of the sign fit so perfectly with their gorgeous setup.

The only annoying thing about creating signage for these lovely businesses is when they’re too far away for me to actually enjoy them myself!

Little pieces of July.

July has been a bit of a whirlwind here at Little Wootton.
It’s been full of swing signs, A-frames, wedding season and, of course, lots of our best-selling garden signs heading out the door.

The school holidays have also started, so I’ve had a few extra little helpers this month.

A couple of orders have had a golden touch with some beautiful hand-painted gold details, and I’ve also been back to painting one of my favourite things – more flowers for some lovely returning customers.

Here’s a little snapshot of what July has looked like at LW.

Just a little heads-up that I’ll be taking a short break over the next few weeks to rest, reset, and enjoy some family time.

I’ll still be checking in from time to time, but please note that any orders placed after this weekend won’t be despatched until week commencing the 24th August at the earliest. Any questions at all just drop me a message.
