Today, on World Environment Day, the Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority (GSWMA) joins the global community in celebrating our shared responsibility to protect, preserve, and restore the environment for present and future generations. 🌎

This year’s observance, under the theme “Inspired by Natyre. For Climate. For our Future” serves as a reminder that even the smallest actions can create meaningful change.
By reducing waste, reusing materials whenever possible, recycling responsibly, and disposing of waste properly, we can significantly decrease pollution and lessen our impact on the environment. 🌳

Every plastic bottle recycled, every piece of litter properly discarded, and every effort to conserve resources contributes to a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient Grenada.♻️

At GSWMA, we remain committed to promoting effective waste management practices, environmental education, and community engagement initiatives that help build a culture of environmental stewardship across our tri-island. 🤲🏾

The Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority (GSWMA) is excited to partner with the Junior Murray Cricket Academy (JMCA) through a newly signed collaboration aimed at fostering youth development and environmental stewardship. 🏏

Through this collaboration, JMCA will continue its efforts to uplift and empower the younger generation through sport and mentorship, while GSWMA advances its mission of promoting environmental awareness and responsible waste management practices. 🍃

Together, we look forward to creating meaningful opportunities for education, engagement, and positive change as we invest in both our youth and our environment.✊🏽

The Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority is proud to partner with the St. Patrick's Carnival Development Committee to bring a competition to schools in the St. Patrick parish. 🍃

Students are invited to showcase their creativity by designing and constructing a King and/or Queen costume using recyclable materials.
Entries will be paraded and judged on Carnival Monday on the streets of Sauteurs. 🧚‍♀️

The Authority applauds the St. Patrick's Carnival Development Committee for this innovative initiative, which encourages creativity, promotes responsible waste management practices, and fosters environmental stewardship among our young people. 👩🏽‍🦱

The Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority (GSWMA) was pleased to participate in the St. George's University Center of Academic Excellence of the School of Arts and Sciences, annual Career/ Job fair. 📝

Our representatives, Assistant Communications Officer Nickoli Boyke and Education Officer Simone Doughlin-Welsh, engaged with attendees and highlighted the diverse career opportunities available within the Authority. 👩🏽‍💻

Participants gained valuable insight into the important role GSWMA plays in environmental management and the various professional pathways available in the solid waste management.♻️
