*Getting your Skilled Migrant Residence Visa in New Zealand 🇳🇿*

New Zealand has one of the most simplified skilled migrant resident class visa pathway. Here are the things you need to know.

1. It is a 6 point based system based on education, and work experience. If you have a PhD, you have six points. Msc five points. Bsc 4 points and O'levels one point. You need WES or NZQA evaluation of your credentials to claim this point.

2. You need a job offer. There are several in-demand jobs in New Zealand that are either on the Green List or Work to Residence pathway. Your mission is to seek and find. Aim to secure a job with an Accredited employer and you are on the fastest flight to securing your Residence visa.

3. Apply for an Expression of Interest for the visa and wait for the monthly nomination to apply.

4. There will be several documents required of you including English Proficiency (if you didn't school in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand), Police Character report, previous employment references, job offer in New Zealand, bank statement (needed when applying without job offer), education credentials, medicals and other documents relevant to your case

5. Submit your application. Expect a decision from New Zealand Immigration in 3-6 months.

6. Once approved, celebrate!!! Stay in New Zealand for at least one year within the two years of your Residence visa (due to travel conditions), then apply for Permanent Residency visa.

7. Permanent Residency visa in New Zealand is approved in less than a week.

8. Live in New Zealand for 3 years, without any character issues, then you grab your New Zealand passport.

9. New Zealand passport is ranked 5th strongest passport in the world. Ahead of United Kingdom, United States and Canada.
