I’ve always written about the things women carry quietly.
LOVE ME BEFORE DAWN is where I decided to turn some of those conversations into a story.

I finally brought one of my stories to Wattpad.

Part One of LOVE ME BEFORE DAWN: Echoes in the Corridor of Osu is now there.

This story is very different from the women’s quotes and reflections I usually share as Elsieesinam Writes

Here, I get to explore women through fiction.

Through Akosua Mensah, I’m writing about what happens when a woman becomes so good at protecting herself that letting someone close starts to feel more frightening than being alone.

And then there’s Kojo Asante.

A man who notices too much, asks too many questions, and somehow sees the parts of Akosua she has worked very hard to hide.

Part One takes us into Accra-Osu, Labadi, corporate rooms, late-night conversations, old wounds and a new attraction neither of them seems prepared for.

But beneath the romance, I’m interested in something deeper.

What happens when the person who makes you feel something again also makes you confront everything you thought you had healed from?

This is my first step into sharing my fiction more intentionally on Wattpad, and I’m excited to finally let readers meet these characters.

If you enjoy African contemporary romance, slow-burn chemistry, strong women, complicated relationships, secrets, betrayal and emotional tension, I think you’ll enjoy Akosua and Kojo’s story.

She built it one small decision at a time.

A few years from now, the woman you'll become is quietly observing the choices you're making today.

She isn't asking whether you're perfect.

She isn't keeping score of every mistake.

She's simply hoping you'll continue to show up.

Because every habit you build today becomes part of the life you'll live tomorrow.

I used to think transformation happened in one defining moment.

One breakthrough, opportunity.

One “yes.”

But I've learned that the biggest changes often happen in the quiet moments no one applauds.

When you choose to read instead of scrolling.

Protect your peace instead of pleasing everyone.

Save instead of spending impulsively.

Rest without feeling guilty.

Pray even when you don't feel like it.

Keep going after another disappointing day.

Those small choices rarely feel life-changing.

Until one day, you look back and realise they changed everything.

The woman you dream of becoming isn't built by wishes.

She's built by habits, consistency and the promises you keep to yourself.

So today, I'm choosing to build a future that my older self will thank me for.

I will be intentional.

Because she deserves a life filled with peace instead of chaos.

Confidence instead of self-doubt.

Purpose instead of merely surviving.
