KYC Nations Organizes Ghana’s First Ever Building and Construction Safety Week!
KYC Nations is a pro development organization with operations in real estate, mining and the oil and gas industries. We engage partnerships with key industry players to implement programs for the benefit of the people and nations where we operate. Here in Ghana, our obsession has been to promote safe and affordable housing solutions; whiles advancing programs to enhance equity in the extraction and commercialization of Ghana’s natural resources.
As part of its corporate activities for this year, KYC Nations, in association with its partners, is organizing a one week educational campaign and a seminar on safety in the building and construction industry under the theme “PROTECTING LIVES, PROPERTY AND INVESTMENTS, OUR SHARED RESPONSIBILITY” from Monday 24th - 28th November, 2014.
The campaign will focus on educating industry players and the general public on safety during and after construction so as to protect human lives and properties. Recent collapse of commercial buildings in Accra and Kumasi should never again occur. We need to protect our lives and property! Indeed building safety is a shared responsibility because our houses, offices and malls more than house human bodies, they represent our years of toil and investment resources.
For such compelling reasons and for a fact that this event promises to be the first in the nation’s history, KYC Nations entreats all stakeholders in the building and construction industry, homeowners, project financiers, banks, insurance companies and government institutions to sign up for participation in this all important campaign.
Below is a highlight of major activities to be conducted during the “2014 Building & Construction Safety Week”:
There will be nationwide educational campaign to promote increased awareness on building and construction safety.
There will be scheduled visits to selected construction sites to educate laborers and engineers on the need to adhere to best practices and put on safety harnesses to avoid life threatening injuries.
There will also be donations of construction safety harnesses to construction workers at some selected project sites.
On the 28th of November 2014, there will be a seminar facilitated by experts to educate real estate developers, homeowners, government agencies and other industry players on the essentials of safety in the building and construction industry.
We seek to engage the partnership of both print and electronic media in reaching out to the Ghanaian people. Together, let us pledge our support towards a shared objective and responsibility of promoting building and construction safety because it’s about our lives, properties and investments!
In the coming months, KYC Nations will respond to the public need for decent housing by providing access to private capital to produce and expand access to safe, secure, and attractive affordable housing. We will work together with other private and public entities that share our vision of high-quality and sustainable affordable housing. We will strive to understand and respond to the needs of the Ghanaian people.
