HORN HONKING JUST TO SAY “Hi”
No, it isn’t cute and not really friendly. Okay,
maybe once in a great while it could be permitted,
but it sometimes seems as if drivers use their car
horns way too often for this purpose. Couldn’t
they just pull over and have their conversation
instead of creating a mini-drama on the roads and
highways?
And let’s not forget the distraction of the car horn
itself. When you hear a horn, it makes you think
there’s something wrong. Your attention is
suddenly diverted from driving safely to looking for
ways to avert danger. Saying hello by using your
car horn shouldn’t be part of daily driving
behaviour.

SAFE DRIVING TIPS WHEN IT'S RAINING
1.Avoid driving through flooded areas because it
will be difficult to gauge the water’s depth. This is
dangerous in itself. And if water gets sucked into
the air-intake valve and then the engine, the car
will probably shut off.
2.Slow down by at least 5 or 10 miles an hour. At
certain speeds, your car can hydroplane, lifting off
the ground, and you will be driving on a layer of
water. If that happens, don’t panic; just slow down
until the car feels normal again.
3.Immediately after you’ve driven through a
puddle, take your foot off the gas and feather the
brakes. This creates heat and friction, which will
help dry the brakes.
