Bill Hunt Gross is an american investor , fund manager and philanthropist who has founded a lot of startups and incubated many others ranging from over 100 startups in the World.

He got curious about why some succeeded and others failed so he decided to find out the factors that informed that. He gathered data from 100 of his own companies and 100 of others and ranked each of these companies of 5 Factors namely : Idea , Team (Ex*****on), Business Model , Funding and Timing .

To his surprise , he realized one factor that stands out from the others and is the most important factor that caused the success or failure of these startup businesses: Timing

Timing (42%), Team, Idea, Business Model , Funding

The Capsule(Lesson):
You can have the right funding, perfect business model, the best team and perfect business idea BUT if the Timing of your entry is wrong you will fail.
The reason why Uber , Facebook , Amazon among many others succeeded was strongly because they came at the right time when the world needed them.
