The Asanko Community Apprenticeship Program has really changed my life. My mum is really proud of me,” says Adama Mary.

Through the program, Mary trained as a Haul truck operator, gaining hands-on experience and the practical skills needed to operate heavy equipment with confidence.

After completing her apprenticeship, she secured employment with Rocksure International, one of our business partners. Mary is now applying what she learned as she builds her career.

Her journey shows how practical training can help young people develop skills, gain confidence and move into employment.

Our National Service Personnel marked their week with activities that supported safety on site and learning in the community.

They led a safety campaign, donated directional signage to support wayfinding across the mine, and donated books and pens to Kwankyeabo Community School.

The week concluded with an awards dinner recognising their service, commitment and contribution during their time with Asanko Gold Ghana Ltd.

We thank them for their energy and dedication they brought to their roles and wish them every success as they continue their professional journeys.

Meet Safo Edmund.

Safo had always wanted to become a Lab Technician.

Through our Community Apprenticeship Program, he gained hands-on experience in assay laboratory work and developed the practical skills needed to begin his career.

Following his apprenticeship, Safo joined Intertek Minerals Limited, one of our business partners, as a Lab Technician.

His journey shows how practical training can help young people turn their ambitions into career opportunities.

Phase Two of our Community Agricultural Support Program (CASP) has begun.

80 farmers across 12 host communities will receive farm inputs, protective gear and training in farming methods that cope better with changing weather.

Agricultural extension officers from Amansie West and Amansie South will guide farmers through the farming season, helping them put the training into practice.

CASP is part of our Five-Year Socio-Economic Development Program.

Together with the Amansie West District Health Directorate, we supported a two-day training programme for 40 health professionals from Amansie West and Amansie South.

The program brought together midwives, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals, with sessions focused on strengthening their knowledge and skills to support quality healthcare delivery.

By investing in local healthcare capacity, we are helping strengthen healthcare services across our host communities.

From trainee to Lab Assistant.

Meet Comfort, a Lab Assistant at Asanko Gold Ghana whose journey with us began through our Community Skills Development Program.

Through hands-on training in our assay laboratory, she gained technical knowledge, industry experience and greater confidence in her abilities.

For Comfort, that confidence meant feeling prepared to pursue opportunities across the mining industry. Today, she is building her career as part of our team.
