By planting trees and growing food, participants embodied the core vision of NKABOM: unity, growth, and a thriving future for Africa’s youth.

The UHAS-NKABOM Project is a bold 10-year initiative launched in partnership with McGill University and the Mastercard Foundation under the Young Africa Works Program.

Officially launched on May 29, 2025, the project aims to equip 30 million young Africans with practical, skills-based training to prepare them for meaningful and sustainable employment.

Grounded in the spirit of NKABOM—meaning unity —the project will empower Africa’s youth through education, innovation, and opportunity, laying the foundation for a stronger, more resilient continent.
