Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through active prospecting and lead generation

• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing

“Tell me about yourself.”

This question looks simple.

But this is where many candidates lose the job.

Most people start like this:

“My name is Comfort. I’m 24 years old. I completed UG in 2023. I like reading and listening to music.”

Pause.

The interviewer didn’t ask for your biography.

They asked because they want to know:

👉 Who are you professionally?
👉 What value do you bring?
👉 Why should we keep listening to you?

Here’s how to answer it strategically:

1. Start with your present.
Who are you right now professionally?

“I’m a customer service professional with 2 years’ experience in handling client relationships in the telecom industry.”

2. Talk about your key strengths/achievements.
Mention results. Not responsibilities.

“In my previous role, I managed over 50 client accounts daily and improved customer satisfaction ratings by 20%.”

3. Connect it to the role you’re applying for.

“I’m excited about this role because it allows me to use my relationship management skills in a more structured corporate environment.”

That’s it.

Simple. Structured. Strategic.

Your answer should be:

Present → Past impact → Future alignment.

Not your life story.
