The major focus of the organization will be on environmental management and protection, forest management and protection as well as agricultural promotion and development. We intend to implore practical methods of best practices to improve food security and hence reduce vicious poverty cycles. In this regard, CEFA will among other things combine scientific principles with local knowledge in ways that demonstrate positive outcomes. Agroforestry practices and farming systems will be a major tool for improving food production and ensuring food security of rural households. CEFA has been formed by a group of young Ghanaian professionals who have a good amount of experience in diverse fields and who are well dedicated to the course of the organization. In our desire to use an interdisciplinary approach, our team includes an economist, a social worker, an accountant, an agriculturalist, a forester, an agroforester, a health practitioner and an environmental specialist. We are still continuously looking to engage more experts from different disciplines so as to be a really diverse effective organization.
