๐ Ghana: New infographic highlighting the achievements of the PEACE PROTECT project
We are pleased to release this infographic, which highlights the key achievements of the Preventing violent extremism and supporting peace in the northern border regions of Ghana (PEACE PROTECT) project, funded by the European Union and implemented by Coginta, which concluded earlier this year.
โก๏ธ The projectโs objective was to prevent socio-economic, environmental, and political destabilization in northern Ghana by strengthening the capacities of government and non-governmental actors in their concerted efforts to maintain peace and contain the rise of violent extremism in crisis-prone areas.
๐ก Building on the lessons learned and the infrastructure established under PEACE PROTECT, the โEU for a Secure Ghana โ Specific Objective 3โ project, part of a European Union programme, was launched last March. The goal is to consolidate and expand proven, locally rooted approaches that strengthen institutional capacities and community resilience, and promote sustainable and inclusive conflict prevention.
