Our team participated in the Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation on the Draft Energy Performance Certification (EPC) Regulations for Buildings in Ghana, organised by GIZ in collaboration with the Energy Commission of Ghana, held in Tamale on 12 February 2026. The engagement was highly interactive and informative, reflecting the organisers’ openness to stakeholder input. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important national dialogue on energy efficiency in the built environment.

We’re pleased to share that we had a productive stakeholder meeting with the Kosmos Innovation Centre in Tamale. The discussion focused on exploring a joint call application and opportunities for resource sharing, as part of our collective effort to support the green transition.

It was truly refreshing to exchange ideas with a team that values the impact of even the smallest innovations and is committed to driving meaningful, sustainable change.

☀️ Yesterday, the sun shone in its full strength at the Energy Technology Centre, UDS Nyankpala Campus. We took the opportunity to brew tea using a solar thermal device (Solar BBQ) from S**a Solar, together with our amazing trainees from Burkina Faso.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to S**a Solar for supporting the Centre with solar energy conversion training equipment. The clean energy transition spark is alive—and it’s shining brightly in the young women leading the way! 💡🌱

Our trainees from Burkina Faso have demonstrated commitment in the face of language barrier. In a day, they were able to build an LED signboard, an energy efficient alternative to traditional powered signboards. An additional skill bag from the Energy Technology Centre's Team.

Our young women from Burkina Faso are out in the field with our partner, Best Solar - Tamale, gaining hands-on experience in solar PV installation.

💪 No more boys in front — they are actively taking their place and proving their skills in this male-dominated field.

A big thank you to Best Solar for walking alongside them on their journey to becoming skilled solar PV installers.

On 6th August 2025, we wrapped up another successful training programme! 🎉
In collaboration with WACWISA-UDS, our Centre trained 20 talented young women sponsored by Alinea Foundation, Canada (WEENorth Project) in solar-powered irrigation systems. These beneficiaries, already active in trades like electrical work and plumbing, gained hands-on skills in irrigation and solar system design, operation, and maintenance, alongside business development and best safety practices.
A special congratulations to Abdul Nasir Hindu, named Best Student of the cohort, who received a multipurpose solar lantern generously sponsored by S**a Solar. 🌞💡
Empowering women in technical fields isn’t just training—it’s building a more sustainable future. 🌱
