Ecofurn Ghana Shortlisted for The Iris Prize 2026..🥳🥳🥳
We are delighted to announce that Ecofurn Ghana has been shortlisted for The Iris Prize 2026, an international award recognizing young leaders who are protecting and restoring nature through innovative, community-driven solutions.
What began as a simple idea to transform agricultural residues and plastic waste into durable, eco-friendly school furniture has evolved into a mission to reduce environmental pollution, promote circular economy practices, and create sustainable learning environments for schools and communities.
Today, that journey has reached an important milestone.
Out of more than 1,300 applications from 108 countries worldwide, Ecofurn Ghana has been selected as one of only 28 shortlisted projects for this year’s prize.

Being recognized by an international organization such as The Iris Project is a significant achievement for our team. It reinforces our belief that locally developed solutions can contribute meaningfully to global environmental challenges and that young innovators from Ghana have an important role to play in building a more sustainable future.
This recognition belongs to everyone who has supported our vision from our team members and mentors to our partners, supporters, and community members who continue to believe in the potential of sustainable innovation.
