Life Bridge 68 Foundation believes that engaging children in their formative years to implementation solid waste management principles especially recycling is very important because recycling means business.
Recycling is a crucial tool for both environmental and economic development. Reusing, recycling, and reduction of waste offer direct development opportunities for individuals and communities.
The skilful collection, care and reusing of discarded materials not only serves as local resource and raw materials for manufacturing new things. It also contributes to job creation and revenue generation as well as business expansion, and increasing the local revenue of any community involved.
The Kids Against Waste Project is a project educates, influences and help change the attitude of our children and youth towards solid waste management through an educational model that is full of fun, and hands-on practice. It has for the past 7 years inspired and empowered over four thousand (4000) Ghanaian children/youth to use their creativity to effectively practice the 3Rs toward the promotion and improvement of solid waste management in Ghana.
