The journey continues for members of Cohort 28 of the Gamey and Gamey ADR Institute’s PEM.ADR Programme as they enter the second week of their in-person lectures after completing 15 weeks of online learning. The transition from virtual sessions to face-to-face engagement has opened a new chapter of practical learning, with participants actively involved in live mediation role play exercises designed to strengthen their understanding of conflict resolution and dispute management.
These interpersonal practical sessions create opportunities for cohort members to build stronger relationships, collaborate, and experience the realities of mediation through simulated scenarios.
Under the guidance of lead facilitator Austin Gamey, with support from Edmund Mingle, Counsellor Nyadzi, and Felix Bonnie, participants are being equipped with essential mediation skills, including the art of active listening, effective communication, impartiality and problem-solving.
As Cohort 28 continues this transformative journey, we celebrate their commitment to becoming skilled practitioners who will contribute to building a culture of dialogue, understanding and peaceful resolution.
