As part of the implementation of the ECOWAS Integrated Maritime Strategy (EIMS) and the Yaoundé Agreements for Maritime Security and Safety in the Gulf of Guinea, an MoU for Joint Maritime Operations in Zone F (Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Burkina Faso) was signed at a ceremony on Friday, 26 July, 2019 at the Swiss Spirit Alisa Hotel, Accra. Attending the ceremony included among others, Heads of Navies of Zone F Member States and representatives of the ECOWAS Commission notably, General Francis BEHIANZIN, Commissioner, Political Affairs, Peace and Security.

Rear Admiral EA Bonsu (Rtd), Chief Executive Consultant (CEC) of Beacon Maritime, visiting the exhibition stand of Ocean Marine Solutions (OMS), the pioneer of Private Maritime Security (PMS) in Nigeria, during the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (IMDEC) held on 24-25 July, 2019 at the Kempinski Gold Coast, Accra as part of the 60th Anniversary activities of the Ghana Navy.
