Be careful!
The anger will pass. The words might not. Choose them carefully.

A quick story.

Back in the 1940s, Germany was largely cut off from international trade, making it extremely difficult for Coca-Cola's German operation to get the ingredients it needed to produce Coke.

No syrup, no product, and potentially, no business. The obvious option was to shut down.

But Max Keith, the man running Coca-Cola's operations in Germany at the time, decided to try something different. He told his team to use whatever ingredients they could find locally.

So they experimented with leftovers from other food industries, including apple fiber and whey from cheese production. Eventually, they created a completely new drink.

Now they needed to give it a name, and one salesman suggested: Fanta! — inspired by the German word Fantasie, meaning imagination.

The original Fanta wasn't orange. It didn't look or taste like the Fanta millions of people know today. It was essentially a product born out of necessity — created with the ingredients available at a time of extreme scarcity.

After the war, Coca-Cola eventually regained control of its German operations and reinvented Fanta into the colorful, fruit-flavored global brand we recognize today. And now, it is sold around the world.

So the next time you open a Fanta, remember:
You're not just drinking soda. You're drinking a piece of history.

Stay safe & I'll see you on the next story.
