Field crops constitutes a major composite to our drive for food security, they provide greater percentage of carbohydrate,proteins and other essential elements. Field crops production continues to be challenged by the impacts of climate change. Erratic rainfall, rise in surface temperature,degradation of soil nutrients, markets ,post harvest lost , pest and diseases remained perennial challenges.
Is more than time to shift from colonial crop production which was meant to increased colonial wealth to more national centric production system that put the interest of national efforts to food security , environmental stewardship and science based and data driven support system for farmers

The future of the Gambia, Africa and the world at large is the hands of the youths. When youths lead in agricultural production we don't only provide food but resilient population,employment opportunities,food and nutritional security as well as well fit nations for sustainable development.
The world will not be fed by old age but people that chooses to farming despite numerous challenges. I am happy to choose such path to feed the world.

Community conservation to enhance ecotourism.
I was lucky to found the second nest for the year 2026 Marine Turtle Monitoring Season. 127 turtle eggs were recovered and relocated to 's local hatchery for safer monitor .
In the spirit of conservation I remain!
With little selfless efforts with greater impact for marine ecosystem.

I am excited to joined the regional leaders,farmers,innovator's,private sectors,government officials and civil society organizations, development partners across the 12 member states of here in Banjul for a validation workshop from the 15th -19th June 2026 to assess the @2025, lesson learnt and perspectives for 2035. As a Co Lead Policy Drafting Team of ECOWAS Youth on Agriculture , it was an opportunity to participate in the 10 year policy document that will dictate how the block will steer her own affairs on agricultural transformative agenda in articulating the new vision and strategy aim at deepening our goal for a more resilient ,food and nutrition secured ECOWAS . Committing to accelerate the implementation of CAADP Kampala Declaration,Free Movement of Goods and Services,Free Trade Agreement,AU Agenda 2063,ECOWAS 2050, ECOWAS Agricultural Investment Strategy 2030 etc most not only appear on policy documents but domesticating and implementing these programs should be the focus with monitoring systems track the progress of these initiative.
