🔵The producer behind the wine
Messinia is a quite singular case in the wine history of Greece. Although it has a long tradition in wine making, we had to wait until just a decade ago, and the huge touristic developments of this period, to see Messinian wines becoming well known beyond this region. A top example is the Psaroulis family winery. The family is involved in growing grapes since 1948, but it was in 2013 when they started releasing their own wines. Konstantinos Psaroulis is a very promising, young wine maker, who, in the recent vintages, has been crafting some beautiful examples of the Messinian terroir, always with keen respect towards the vineyards and its skilful cultivation.

🔵The wine behind the label
Privately owned, own-rooted, 45 year old vineyards, planted at the bottom of a pre-historic lake. Grapes have been cold soaked for about 18 hours, fermentation took place at low temperatures and lees contact lasted four months. Pale lemon-green colour. Freshness on the nose, with vivid aromas of peach. On the palate is dry, medium bodied, while there is a herbaceous note. A wine busting with youthfulness.
