Sauvignon blanc is cultivated along all Macedonia region, with great focus in the regions of Pangeon, Drama, Agora. In the small area of Agora, Sauvignon blanc finds its best sites, thanks to the presence of slopes with sandy clay soils, continental climate. Xinomavro is one of the most prominent red Greek varieties, it’s the only allowed variety for red wines in the P.D.O. Naoussa & the only allowed variety for red and rosè in the P.D.O. Amynteo. The Evil Eye Rosè, P.D.O. Amynteo, emphasizes the dynamic of Xinomavro in its rosè version. Resulting in a gastronomic wine thanks to its high acidity but creamy structure due to 8 months battonage.

Cavalieri Assyrtiko, P.G.I. Drama, emphasizes the dynamic of Assyrtiko in the Northern part of Greece. A complex wine characterized by citrus fruit, botanical notes along with some hints of vanilla and white pepper due to a small percentage ageing for 6 months in oak. In the mouth it has crispy acidity, typical of the variety, and a rich mouthfeel. Making it a perfect match for Mediterranean cuisine.

In the region of Drama Sauvignon blanc & Assyrtiko have gained excellent reputation for producing different style of wines. From fruity, in stainless steel tank for earlier drinking medium priced up to powerful, full bodied, aged, outstanding white wines. Château Nico Lazaridi White, P.G.I. In a couple of weeks we will enjoy the new vintages of the fresh wines such as this wonderfull blend od Sauvignon Blanc, Semilon and Vidiano. Pronounced aromas of lime, litchi, grapefruit, peach, nectarine, with some notes of grass. Pleasant acidity, medium body with the flavours following the aromas of the nose with a pleasant aftertaste.

🍇 Here is a blend that combines the aromatic complexity of the Sauvignon Blanc emphasizing the tropical and citrus notes, with the richness and the acidity of the Assyrtiko and the floral notes of Malagousia. Excellent match with pasta dishes as well as green salads with goat cheese.
