Its history cames back to the Ancient Greece as well asin the Ancient Italy, in Rome. It was used for the construction mostly of temples & churches all over the world. Well known monuments, such as Saint Peter's Basilica in Venice, HagiaSofia in Istanbul, the Temple of Olympus Zeus in Athens, are some of the monuments where Cipollino marble has been used for their construction & decoration.
