This elegant 1959 classic yawl was built by Beister Werft in Norderney, Germany, a shipyard known for solid construction and traditional craftsmanship. With a length of 12.64 m, she combines timeless classic lines with the strength and reliability of a steel hull.
The yacht is rigged as a traditional yawl with wooden masts, including a mizzen staysail, providing balanced sailing characteristics and versatile sail combinations.
In 2021 the steel hull exterior was sandblasted and professionally repainted, an important maintenance step for steel vessels that ensures long-term protection. Between 2021 and 2024 the exterior underwent further renovation, including the installation of a new deck in 2023.
The engine received a full overhaul in 2024, ensuring reliable performance, and the batteries were replaced in 2026.
For anchoring, the original windlass has been replaced with a modern 1000 W Quick windlass for easier operation. The original windlass is still onboard and included, preserving the yacht’s historic character.
Under sail she is a well-balanced and graceful classic yacht, with the yawl rig offering flexibility and comfortable handling in varying conditions.
The boat is being sold reluctantly due to professional commitments. With my current work schedule I unfortunately no longer have the time to sail and maintain her as she deserves, and I am therefore considering a smaller boat that is easier to manage.
