香港では2月12日から旧正月に入ります。
良いお年になりますように、いくつか旧正月の風習をご紹介いたします。
1． 新しい服を着る。過去一年の悪いことを忘れ、新しい始まりを意味する。
2．服装に赤いものを身に着ける。赤は広東語で「紅」と言いまして、発音は「鴻」と一緒で、好運を意味する。
3． お年玉を用意する。お年玉が祟り（たたり）から守り、一年を穏やかに過ごすことができると信じられている。
4． 旧正月に去年余った食べ物を食べる。今年も余裕のある生活ができると意味する。
安全で素敵な旧正月をお過ごしください。

Let us introduce you to some customs that can bring you luck for the coming year.
1. To wear new clothes. It indicates a new beginning.
2. To wear something red. Red is always a lucky color in Chinese culture. Its pronunciation is similar to “Great” and “Grand”.
3. To prepare red packets. It is believed that lucky money can protect us against evil spirits, and thus we can have a peaceful year.
4. To eat some food kept from New Year Eve. It means people will earn more than they spend in the next year.

早いもので2021年も2月に入りましたね。
本日は節分！しかも124年ぶりの2月2日節分です。
立春の前日を季節の分け目として節分と呼ぶそうです。
季節の変わり目に現れる邪気(鬼)祓いに「鬼は外、福は内」と豆まきをしたり、
恵方巻を「恵方」に向いて無言で食したりします。
ちなみに、2021年の恵方は南南東だそうですね。

邪気祓いをして、素敵な年にしましょう！

Today is Setsubun in Japan, which has 124 years interval of the date 2nd February.
Setsubun is the day before the beginning of Spring according to the old calendar.
Traditionally people throw the soybean (mamemaki) and shout “Devils out! Fortune in!” as to driving away the evil and bring luck in to them.
People would also eat Ehomaki (Sushi roll) by facing to the lucky direction.
The lucky direction of this year should be south-southeast.
