🇫🇷✨ 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝕊𝕡𝕚𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕤 𝕌ℙ! ✨🇫🇷

This May, the 16th edition of the French GourMay Food & Wine Festival celebrates the spirit of French savoir-faire—literally! Under the theme Spirits UP!, this year’s festival pays tribute to the vibrant world of French spirits.

French spirits: more than a drink, a tradition
France’s rich tradition of distillation spans from its iconic vineyards to alpine landscapes. Spirits are woven into the French lifestyle – from aperitifs to digestifs, flambéed desserts to celebratory cocktails. French GourMay 2025 shines a spotlight on these liquid treasures through a diverse programme, inviting all gourmets in Hong Kong and Macau to discover the versatility of spirits in French gastronomy through exclusive menus, bar-hopping adventures, educational tastings, and retail offers with over 150 partners across the city.

🍽 French GourMay Markets
We were thrilled to kick off the 11th edition of our French GourMay Market at Central Market earlier this month—a festive hub of gourmet stalls, live demos, artisanal spirits and cultural performances. If you missed it, don’t worry! The journey continues at Nina Mall, Tsuen Wan from 6–8 June, where you can enjoy French flavours and culture with your family and friends.

🍷𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐱 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐠 🇭🇰

On November 22, the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux (UGCB) brought 62 prestigious Châteaux to the Regent Hong Kong for an exclusive trade tasting of their 2021 vintage, organised successfully by Business France Hong Kong. Over 700 attendees gathered to experience the elegance and diversity of Bordeaux wines. Ms. Christile DRULHE, Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, accompanied by Mr. Ronan LABORDE, president of UGCB, visited each château's stand, engaging with representatives to discover their exceptional wines, from finely balanced dry whites to exquisitely aromatic sweet wines and perfectly ripened reds.

Also were featured two insightful master-classes led by Mr. Reeze CHOI, offering attendees a deeper appreciation of Bordeaux's rich terroirs and the artistry.

🔝As a major hub for wine trade in Asia, Hong Kong is vital to Bordeaux’s global presence, representing 67% of French Grands Crus exports to the territory in 2024 (French Customs). France also leads as Hong Kong’s largest wine supplier, with 62% of the market share last year (Hong Kong Census and Statistics Department), underscoring the strength of this thriving partnership.

A heartfelt thank-you to Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux, Châteaux representatives and Mr. Reeze CHOI for showcasing the passion and 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘳-𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘦 behind each bottle, and to the vibrant wine Community in Hong Kong for making this celebration of Bordeaux wines unforgettable. Cheers!🥂
