📊 Beyond the numbers are the voices and experiences of patients.

Over the past weeks, our partner, the Forum of Patients of Serbia, has shared findings from a survey involving 228 patients, providing valuable insight into their experiences, challenges and needs throughout the thyroid care journey.

The findings point to several important priorities: better access to healthcare, clearer information on prevention, greater patient involvement, and more personalised approaches to treatment.

A sincere thank you to everyone who participated and contributed their experience. Patient perspectives are essential in shaping healthcare that better responds to their needs. 💙

🧬 Understanding risk before disease develops.

New survey findings from our partner, the Forum of Patients of Serbia, show that 68% of respondents would be interested in genetic testing to assess their risk of developing thyroid disease.

This strong interest highlights the growing importance of predictive and personalised approaches to healthcare - and the need to ensure that patients are well informed about what genetic information can, and cannot, tell us.

Through InnoThyroGen, we are exploring how genomics and predictive approaches can contribute to a better understanding of thyroid disease and support more personalised healthcare.

🧬 Towards more personalised thyroid care.

New survey findings from our partner, the Forum of Patients of Serbia, show that 77.2% of respondents believe additional testing can help determine the optimal therapy, while the same percentage consider treatment tailored to their individual characteristics very important.

These findings underline the importance of advancing more precise and personalised approaches to thyroid care - one of the key areas at the heart of the InnoThyroGen project.

📢 Access to reliable health information is essential for prevention and early diagnosis.

Our partner, the Forum of Patients of Serbia, shared new survey findings showing that 69.7% of respondents believe they do not receive timely and accurate information on thyroid disease prevention through the healthcare system.

These insights help us better understand patients' needs and support the development of more patient-centred healthcare. 💙

Kvalitetne informacije mogu pomoći ranijem prepoznavanju simptoma i pravovremenom obraćanju lekaru.

Every patient deserves timely access to specialist care. 💙

Our partner, Forum pacijenata Srbije, has shared new findings from their patient survey, highlighting that 66.7% of respondents experienced difficulties accessing specialist care.

Together, we continue working towards more patient-centred healthcare.
