People Don’t Show Up for “Shareholder Value” — Here’s What They Do Show Up For
🌍 Last week, I attended the PCM International Conference 2025 in Bucharest — and it reminded me again of something I first learned from Peter Senge two decades ago:
“A fundamental problem with modern organizations is that they are governed by mediocre guiding ideas — like growth and making more money for the owners. Mediocre guiding ideas create mediocre motivation.”
What I’ve seen, working with teams through PCM, is that it doesn’t rewrite a company’s guiding ideas — but it does something equally powerful:
✨ It helps people reconnect to what truly matters to them — their families, themselves, and the people who are important to them — and bring that energy back into their work.
