From Green to Red: Witnessing the Full Journey of Coffee at Gayo Highland 🍒🌿
At Sumatran Summit Coffee, we believe that great coffee starts long before it reaches the roaster. It begins here deep in the highlands where green cherries slowly ripen under the sun, cared for by hands that understand the rhythm of the land.
This week at Gayo Highland, we walked the farms once again. We met with the farmers, observed the trees, and followed the cherries from fresh green clusters still maturing, to those glowing red and ready for harvest.
In these fields, growth takes time. But so does trust. So does quality. And so does the relationship we’re building with every farmer, picker, and buyer along the way.
As the season transitions, so does our story from green potential to red promise. And soon, to a cup worth remembering.
