Make the most of the warm Autumn weather. Plant instant hedging now for healthy root establishment before the ground cools and plants go dormant for winter.

Although hedging is most commonly sold as ‘bare root’ plants for ease of transport, pot-grown plants have the benefit of being able to be planted year round (as opposed to being limited to the dormant period between late autumn and early spring).

And as they have been growing in a pot all their lives, their roots are fully formed and undisturbed, meaning that with the right preparation and care, they can be quicker to take to their new homes, providing instant screening.

There are many hedging plants to choose from, and it’s quite important to select the right plants for the job, depending on your needs, the local environment, the planting location, and soil condition.

Conifers provide all year round colour, texture and structure. Great addition to any garden. Adding contrast with boulders and stone, compliments and adds to the overall vista..:)
