ALICE AND THE RABBIT IN ROBE

A playful three-session creative journey through storytelling, colour and imagination, inspired by Alice, a curious rabbit and the places of Ballinrobe.
Children will draw, paint, experiment with materials and contribute to a shared imaginary story without pressure to create “perfect” artwork.

What happens when young people look at their town through an artist’s eyes?
Across three practical sessions, participants will explore colour, drawing, painting, collage and mapmaking. They will use maps, photographs and local stories to reimagine Ballinrobe and create their own visual narratives of place.

This practical three-day workshop supports managers and team leaders in navigating the situations that conventional management training rarely prepares us for:
• Giving honest feedback without damaging relationships
• Managing tension and difficult conversations
• Motivating disengaged team members
• Moving from a directive “boss” mindset towards mentorship
• Leading with empathy while maintaining structure and responsibility

Long before becoming Sli Nua Nexus, this building was home to the Ulster Bank, a place many people in Ballinrobe visited over the years.

Perhaps you opened your first bank account here. Perhaps your parents did. Perhaps you simply passed these doors every day.

Today, the building has a new purpose. It's now a place where futures are built through creativity, learning, collaboration, and community.
