Pitch Perfect Singing is a local professional service created by Julia Canavan-Carrick and specialises in vocal tuition. Julia is a Masters Graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and has worked as an opera singer and arts manager for 15 years. She has taught singing in the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Kings Hospital School, Wesley College, Alexandra College and most recently w
as the Director of the Music Centre at Rathdown School in Glenageary. She has also worked in arts management as Operations Executive for the RTE Concert Orchestra and for the Gate Theatre. She has appeared as a soprano soloist in the RTE Proms, and with all the leading choral societies in Ireland, has made several recordings for RTE Lyric FM and was a finalist at the Veronica Dunne Bursary. In 2008, Julia had triplet babies who are now 12 years of age. She is keen to continue teaching and is Musical Director of Pitch Perfect Ladies Choir and Avondale Voices. She also performs regularly as a soprano soloist.
