Person-centred care starts with one question: What matters to you?

For one person, it may be keeping a familiar morning routine. For another, it may be staying connected with family, managing their own day or feeling confident at home.

Good support begins by listening, then building care around the life the person wants to lead.

This October we are continuing to explore what it means to put the person at the centre of care at home.

A familiar voice can make a real difference.

HaloCare Check-In Calls offer regular, friendly contact to help people feel connected, reassured and supported in their day-to-day lives.

Whether it’s a quick check-in, a friendly conversation or simply knowing someone is there, these calls can provide valuable reassurance for both the individual and their loved ones.

Because sometimes, a simple conversation can mean a lot.

Today is International Day of Older Persons, a reminder that older people should remain at the centre of decisions about their lives, homes and support.

At HaloCare, we believe independence is not about doing everything alone. It is about having choice, control and the right support to keep living life on your own terms.

Staying well isn’t just about health. It’s about connection, routine and having things to look forward to.

Today, 21 September, we mark World Alzheimer’s Day. We recognise those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, as well as the families, friends and carers who support them each day.

Familiar surroundings, meaningful connections and the right support can make a real difference. At HaloCare, we help people feel safe, connected and reassured while continuing to live in the place they know best, their own home.

Today, let’s remember the person, not just the diagnosis.

September is World Alzheimer’s Month, a time to raise awareness, challenge stigma and encourage greater understanding of dementia.

This years theme, “The Earlier You Know, The More You Can Do”, highlights the importance of a timely diagnosis. While a diagnosis can bring uncertainty it can also open the door to treatment, practical support and informed decisions about the future.

At HaloCare, we believe people living with dementia should be supported to maintain their independence, familiar routines, and quality of life at home. Through tailored technology and support from real people, we provide an additional layer of reassurance for clients, families and carers.

This September, lets continue creating a more informed, understanding and supportive community for everyone affected by dementia.
