It is our mission, in these times of great change, to enable and assist all those who are looking to connect more deeply with themselves, with others and with the spirits of the land, by crafting these sacred tools that will help them to do so on a deep and powerful level. It is also important to us to bring together communities of drummers and all those who are looking to connect with something deeper within themselves. Do you know the Spirit of your Drum? 🥁

The Shamanic Drum is often described as a powerful spiritual tool, but when we work with a drum over time, we can begin to recognise that it is much more than simply a tool. Our drums can have their own personality, their own character, their own voice.

This is where we begin to speak of the Spirit of the Drum, recognising the drum not simply as something we use, but as a teacher, a healer, a friend and an ally.

From an animistic perspective, everything has spirit. People and animals, but also trees, rocks, rivers, places, fires, songs and weather. All are alive and capable of relationship.

The drum can be understood in the same way. Its spirit arises through the animal whose hide forms its skin, the tree whose wood forms its hoop, and the prayers and intentions woven into its birthing.

When we begin to listen to our drum rather than simply play it, we begin a very different kind of relationship.
