It is a way of talking about:
- How you think about yourself, the world and other people
- How what you do affects your thoughts and feelings. CBT can help you to change how you think (Cognitive) and what you do (Behaviour). Unlike some of the other talking treatments, it focuses on the 'here and now' problems and difficulties you may be undergoing. Instead of focusing on the causes of your distress or symptoms in the past, it looks for ways to improve your state of mind now.

I was delighted to recently attend a meeting with CORU as a representative of APCP.

It was a pleasure to meet with colleagues from a range of professional bodies across Ireland and to engage in constructive discussions on the future of our profession. We warmly welcome the regulation of the Counselling and Psychotherapy professions through the CORU register, an important and long-awaited development that will help strengthen professional standards, enhance public confidence, and support the continued growth of our field.

This marks a significant milestone for counsellors, psychotherapists, and the clients we serve, and I look forward to seeing this important work progress. y

What an incredible space to do an incredible CPD training with .ie on Walk & Talk Therapy. I dont give up my weekends easily but this was a no-brainer for me 😊

This was training with a difference, I came away feeling so calm, fulfilled, intrigued and buzzing with excitement on how I can not only encourage fellow supervisees to branch out in their practice but potentially branching out myself 🤔.

James has a fabulous delivery method, very chilled and experiential, if you haven't booked in to any of his workshops, I highly encourage you do to so.

Who says exercise needs to be boring. I just love the enthusiasm Edyta puts into each class, I think its fair to say she's a fan of St Paddys Day 🤣

Exercise is not only great for your fitness but your headspace too and as says jumping is excellent for women's health. Let's all be a little bit more like Edyta and embrace it all 🥳
