It is hard, seeing the patterns all of the time, having the running commentary all of the time, being so focused, then having zero motivation for anything, being misunderstood, deliberately, in many cases…there is one thing, you are not alone, so many go through this, isolated, lonely. If this sounds familiar, this may be the place for you…
ADHD/AuDHD thoughts

Finishing a project with ADHD feels completely different because it triggers
- a sudden drop in dopamine
- an identity shift from hyperfocus to emptiness
- a complex mix of relief and grief

Instead of a normal sense of celebration, the brain suddenly loses its main source of stimulation.

You essentially fall off the dopamine cliff.

1. The high-l intensity hyperfocus that has kept the brain buzzing is gone.
2. The urgency is gone, the problem is solved, the sudden quiet can feel like sad & lonely.

Letting go of a project you’ve been involved with can feel like saying goodbye to a close friend.

You go from a member of a close knit team back to everyday routine that feels boring & lonely.

This is why we are really really busy or in bed 😉
