Our field of work consists cathodic protection design, consulting, AC corrosion and induced voltage mitigation, DC stray current mitigation (produced by LRT, ICCP or any other source), soil sampling and inspection, surveys of all kind (DCVG, CIPS, interference, etc.) and many other aspects of cathodic protection and stray current.

Light Rail Trains are operating with Direct Current (DC) in which the returning current runs through the rail. However, the current find alternative paths through the ground, and this is called STRAY CURRENT. These currents may cause corrosion damages to nearby metal infrastructures.

Another issue is AC corrosion that might develop on a metal infrastructure as a result of voltage induction caused by electrifying (AC) the main train rails (not LRT's).

Several solutions can be offered in these cases, ranging from passive buried elements and up to active current systems, in order to mitigate and eliminate the risk.
