Big Announcement from CapsiBreed!

We’re excited to share that CapsiBreed has been awarded a Tnufa Incentive Program grant by the Israel Innovation Authority ( Innovation Authority רשות החדשנות)! This grant reflects the Authority’s trust in our cutting-edge technology and will support the development of a platform for introducing novel pathogen resistance traits into hot and bell pepper varieties. It’s a meaningful step toward strengthening crop resilience, advancing sustainable agriculture, and contributing to global food security.

Exciting Update from CapsiBreed! 🌱

We’re pleased to share some promising preliminary results from our latest large-scale experiment of CapsiBreed’s “Supercharged Peppers.” Using our proprietary pepper gene-editing platform, we’ve managed to increase capsinoid production by 40 times. 🔬🌶️

Capsinoids, non-pungent analogs of capsaicin, aid in weight management through several mechanisms, including increased energy expenditure via thermogenesis and activation of brown adipose tissue (BAT), both of which enhance calorie burning. They also help suppress appetite, increase satiety, and modulate the gut microbiome by promoting beneficial bacteria linked to weight control. These metabolic benefits make capsinoids an exciting area of research for the food and nutraceutical industries. 🍽️💊
