Cities are complex systems and are synonymous with living organisms. There are layers of diverse and multiple systems that keep the city functioning. Transport is one such critical system that influences the way a city lives, moves, grows and evolves. While it is necessary to address the current needs and rising demand, it also important for us to have a vision or guiding force to shape the future
. The Urban Lab (TUL) intends to contribute towards our vision of creating ‘Liveable Cities on the Move’ and ‘Sustainable Mobility’. We wish to pursue our vision through various initiatives in the field of Urban Transport Planning, Design and Management. TUL is thus conceived as a laboratory to nurture ideas, understand, explore and innovate constantly to create better cities. The first objective is providing advisory and consulting services in the public and private sector in the areas of urban policy, urban transport, public transport planning and design, street design, road safety and urban management. The second objective is to conduct research in the above areas that can drive public policy and administration.
