"Deemed Exports" refers to supplies of goods manufactured in India (and not services). The supplies do not leave India. The payment for such supplies is received either in Indian rupees or in convertible foreign exchange. Deemed exports are not zero rated supplies by default, unlike the regular exports.

❕ What happens when goods arrive in advance and are not cleared?

✔ Goods already imported/shipped/arrived in advance, but not cleared from customs can be cleared against an Authorisation issued subsequently.

* However, such goods are first warehoused against Bill of Entry for Warehousing and then cleared for home consumption.

🚫 This facility is not available for restricted items.

Trade defaults – causes and consequences!

Complaints that are considered:
✔ Poor quality of the exported products.
✔ Unethical commercial dealings such as non-supply/partial supply, incorrect goods and non-adherence to delivery schedule.

Actions that are taken:
✔ Suspension or cancellation of IEC (Importer Exporter Code).
✔ Refusal to grant a new license, scrip or any other instrument of financial or fiscal benefit.
✔ Suspension or cancel any license or scrip mentioned above.
✔ Imposition of fiscal penalty.
